Garmin’s G1000 integrated flight deck helped pave the way for the demise of round gauges in general-aviation cockpits, and on Tuesday Garmin said it’s announcing a successor to the popular suite, the G1000 NXi. The new product is faster and offers a “superior feature set,” the company said. The new system is available as an upgrade for current users or as an all-new installation.
