NTSB Releases Preliminary Report In New York State Mid-Air Collision

Three People Fatally Injured In The Accident The NTSB has released a preliminary report from a mid-air collision which occurred September 24, 2016, at 0923 EDT. According to the report, a Cessna 120, N3580V, and a Piper PA-28-140, N612FL, collided in midair while in cruise flight over North Collins, New York. The Cessna was destroyed and the private pilot was fatally injured. The Piper was destroyed and the private pilot and passenger were fatally injured.
