Apple recently released iOS 9.3 for iPhone and iPad, adding new features to the Notes, Music and News apps. It also adds a new feature called Night Shift, which shifts the color temperature of the screen based on the time of day and location of your device.
While it may be tempting to perform iOS updates as soon as they’re available, we continue to caution pilots to hold off until confirming your primary aviation EFB app and GPS/ADS-B accessory is fully compatible with the new iOS.
At this point we’re recommending that you hold off on upgrading to iOS 9.3 until aviation app and accessory manufactures have a chance to test out the new software.
