SIDNEY, Neb. — Avfuel-branded dealer L&L Aviation started 2016 with a bang as Sidney Municipal Airport (KSNY) won Nebraska’s non-Part 139 Airport of the Year award during a Jan. 28 banquet held in conjunction with the 24th Annual Nebraska Aviation Symposium.

“We’re truly honored,” said Jon Leever, L&L Aviation co-owner. “L&L Aviation took over airport management and maintenance at Sidney Municipal Airport along with its FBO services in July of 2015. It’s been a very successful endeavor, but to be recognized for our achievements so soon — within half a year — is a huge testament to our dedicated team that is vested in the aviation community and our local community.”

The award comes shortly after the opening of its new terminal, out of which L&L Aviation operates. The 2,500-square-foot facility opened to the public on Oct. 17, 2015.
