I attended an EAA fly in at Moraine Airpark (I73)with a pancake breakfast. I was impressed with the number of families that attended. The streets were full of cars as families arrived to have a look at all the planes parked on the field. There were a few who camped out and plenty who flew in for the two day event. This field also known as I73 is one of the older fields in Ohio and had one of the first sea plane bases in Ohio, the river next to the field is where the Wright brothers did there testing for sea planes. The docks that are long since gone were active till well into the 70’s.
